Paul Williams has worked for the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee for 22 years, and currently serves as the Choice Neighborhood Initiative Coordinator. In that position, he coordinates a $300 million plan to foster an inclusive community of opportunity in and around the Westlawn Gardens neighborhood on Milwaukee’s northwest side. The transformation plan includes over 700 new mixed-income housing units, local business and economic development investments, and neighborhood-led quality of life initiatives to improve public spaces, healthy birth outcomes and food sovereignty. Paul also provides strategic support to HACM’s Resident Services and Communications divisions. In both professional and volunteer capacities over three decades, he has worked to center the voices and experiences of marginalized communities in public policy and practice, programming and services, and public discourse.
